I have not changed location and I uploaded the audio file earlier today.  It just doesn't play from the slidecast.  BUT if I embed it into a webpage, the audio does work.

Please can you help???!!!

I am having the same problem today.  I have not changed ANYTHING about my Slidecast.  It took a while when I first uploaded it and added the audio last week before the audio worked.  Now, today, all of a sudden, the audio does not play again.  Nothing has been changed.  I think this is a problem on SlideShare's end.

I am experiencing same problem....though the audio plays once I login but does not play for guests that I send to the presentation.  Another strange factor, if I logout, the audio remains playable.  

I created my slidecast only weeks ago (not old) and the mp3 was uploaded (not a URL location)...so the comments above from archana1372 do not apply.  thanks

Exactly the same problem you're having, Allen.  I went and checked yours.  When I am logged in, it lets me hear my sound.  This is very frustrating.

I have the same problem.  I can get the audio to work on my Mac using Firefox and Safari; however, i cannot get audio when using safari on my iPad.  Also, I have students using various computers and browsers who cannot hear any sound.  They see only arrows to move my slides forward but do not see the buffered audio track.

What a SLIDEMARE!! As a teacher, I would never trust SlideShare. The slideshow with audio is simply not reliable. You can edit till the cows come home, but your timing will be blown to pieces because the edits vanish the moment you click "save"! Every time I log in, I face a new roadblock. I predict "SlideMare" will fold. What a missed opportunity: Nobody else was providing this service. The market was all yours, SlideShare! Your concept was ingenious! Don't claim you can provide a service we all desperately want until you can do it successfully. And make sure you bring along a more responsive customer service team when you do.

Sadly, I have to endorse what krisnjon88 has said. The audio settings do not work. The slideshare presentation defaults to equal allocations of time for each slide with the sound track, when actually the slide should display in sync with the soundtrack.

I can hear sound tracks on slidecasts when I play them on a Mac, but not on a PC. Since most people use PCs, this is a major fault.  It's a good thing that Slideshare hasn't asked us to pay for this service because they would be sued to kingdom come.  

It really is such a shame, because this could be such a very useful service.

Big bummer. I spent a long time synchronizing my audio with the slides, so I could keep it online when people wanted to see it, and now it's gone.

One thing that does seem to work for some reason, I posted my slideshare with audio to my blog at http://jiblish.blogspot.com and it works there...but still does not work consistently on slideshare site.  Maybe posting to external sites works consistently?

I have the same problem as everyone else with inconsistent audio.  some times it works and most of the time it does not.  There seems to be a lot of complaints about the same issue for an extended period of time and nothing seems to be happening

I go nuts. I spent a lot of time, synchronising my slidecast and today the audios of all my slideshows are gone. So frustrating! It simply does not work. Don´t offer functions that don´t work...

Try publishing it on slide-casts.com. Much easier interface and your slides automatically synch with your audio.

My slideshow only works in the slideshare page. I posted the embed in my website and the slideshow doesn't run after press the sart button. Have to click the button one slide at the time. Absurd, Ridiculous!!!! That's not the deal set when I sign in!

I have the same problem!  The slidecast timing works in the editor, but not in the preview or published version.  What gives?!
